Strong Girls Club poster — six-week strength training for girls aged 14–18 in Balla

Strong Girls Club is a six-week strength training programme for girls aged 14–18, designed to give young women the skills and confidence to feel at home in the gym — and a healthier relationship with exercise along the way.

Girls are growing up surrounded by messages about how their bodies should look, what they should eat and how they should exercise. I want Strong Girls Club to offer a different message.

Exercise is something you can do for your body, not to it.

We'll learn how to squat, hinge, push, pull and lift with good technique. We'll talk about how muscle is built, how training can feel different throughout the menstrual cycle, and how to listen and respond to your body.

Most importantly, I want every girl who finishes the programme to be able to walk into a gym and think, “I know what I’m doing here.”

This isn't about chasing a particular body shape. It's about discovering the confidence that comes from getting stronger, learning new skills and seeing what your body is capable of.

Strong Girls Club is about building strong young women.
